Basant 2026 ki tayyariyan zoron pe hain – Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ke efforts se 17 saal baad Basant officially wapas aaya hai. 6 se 8 February tak sirf Lahore mein kite flying allowed hai (strict rules ke sath), aur 1 February raat 12 baje ke baad legal kites (QR code/barcode wali, govt-approved) bikna shuru ho gayi hain!
Anarkali Market (Anarkali Gali) aur Mochi Gate ke scenes bohot garam hain – log door-daraz se aa rahe hain, rush itna ke shops manage nahi kar pa rahe. Ek hi shop (Ali Kite House) khuli mili jahan bohot bara crowd hai. Dukanon pe booking full chal rahi hai, aur kuch sellers ne limited stock rakha hai taake sabko mile.
Current Kite Rates (February 1, 2026 – Live Market se)
- Taawa (1 Tawa / Small Gudda): Rs 220–250 (China paper) se Rs 240 (German paper) tak – average Rs 240
- Dedh Taawa (1.5 Tawa / Medium): Rs 350–360 (common rate Rs 350–360)
- Kuch sellers ne Rs 300–400 tak bhi quote kiya, lekin market mein Rs 350–360 zyada chal raha hai
- Gudda / Patang Designs: Machhar, Chhalla, Silver-Black, aur colorful styles – sab pe govt stamp + barcode laga hai (illegal dor ya chemical wali manaa hai)
Dor (Pinna/String) Rates: Rs 2,200–2,500 per roll (cotton only, sharp dor banned) – bohot zyada demand, booking full chal rahi hai.
Kyun Rates High Hain?
Dukanwalon ka kehna: Raw material (bans Rs 30,000–35,000/bundle, paper Rs 60,000–88,000/ream) bohot mehnga ho gaya. Govt ne prices control nahi kiye, open market hai. Phir bhi sellers limited quantity de rahe hain taake sabko mile – “4-5 le jao, sab mat lo!”
Important Rules for Basant 2026
- Sirf govt-approved kites (QR code wali) allowed – illegal ya sharp dor se strict action (drones, cameras, police on roofs)
- Kite flying sirf 6-8 Feb tak, Lahore district mein
- No loud music, no chemical dor, no underage (under 18) flying
- Sale sirf 1-8 Feb tak legal vendors se (e-Biz Punjab portal pe map check karen)
Mochi Gate pe abhi rush bohot, shops band ya limited open – subah 9 baje se zyada khulengi. Online booking bhi possible hai (Ali Kite House jaise shops se).
