Assalam-o-Alaikum friends! In today’s gathering, we are going to talk about a few very small but extremely powerful words that can wipe away sins from our record of deeds. When a person says these words regularly, angels get tired of writing good deeds in his name! The Hadith says that the angels keep writing rewards until they become exhausted.

These are not big acts of worship — just a few words from the tongue — but their reward is so great that mountains of good deeds are added, and past sins are erased. So listen carefully, and try to make these words part of your daily life.

The Power of Astaghfirullah (Seeking Forgiveness)

The first and most important word is Astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness from Allah).

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever says Astaghfirullah a lot, Allah protects him from calamities (azab).

What does this mean? Because of sins, a person faces humiliation, disgrace, and loss in this world. But when he makes istighfar (seeking forgiveness) in abundance, Allah stops that punishment. The punishment that was coming because of sins is delayed or removed completely.

Even if a non-Muslim says Astaghfirullah with some sincerity, Allah saves him from punishment — so imagine how much mercy a believer will get if he says it regularly!

Every woman wants to live with respect and dignity in this world — no disgrace because of sins. So make Astaghfirullah a habit. Say it 100 times in the morning and evening, or more if you want.

Benefits of abundant istighfar:

  • Past sins are forgiven and erased.
  • Allah stops calamities from reaching you.
  • Barakah (blessings) in rizq (provision).
  • Help in having righteous children (many women pray for sons — istighfar brings barakah in offspring).
  • Allah solves your worldly problems.

So if you want forgiveness of sins, protection from troubles, barakah in money, and help in children — make Astaghfirullah a daily habit.

The Power of Alhamdulillah (Saying Thanks to Allah)

The second very powerful word is Alhamdulillah (All praise belongs to Allah).

Whenever anything happens according to your wish — say Alhamdulillah.

The Quran says: “If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor].”

So whenever something good happens, even small things, say Alhamdulillah from the tongue and heart.

Examples of daily moments to say Alhamdulillah:

  • You woke up healthy — Alhamdulillah.
  • You have food to eat — Alhamdulillah.
  • Children came back from school safe — Alhamdulillah.
  • Guests came and left happy — Alhamdulillah.
  • You prayed on time — Alhamdulillah.
  • You were saved from sin (e.g., lowered gaze) — Alhamdulillah.
  • Someone praised you — Alhamdulillah.
  • You got good sleep — Alhamdulillah.
  • You drank cold water when thirsty — Alhamdulillah.
  • Your mother-in-law didn’t trouble you today — Alhamdulillah!

If you make a habit of saying Alhamdulillah for everything good, two big benefits come:

  1. Allah increases His blessings — whatever you have will multiply.
  2. Allah protects you from calamities — just like istighfar stops punishment, shukr (thanks) increases favors.

In Jannah, people will always say Alhamdulillah Rabbil Aalameen — so start practicing it here in this world!

Two Simple Habits That Change Everything

  1. Say Astaghfirullah many times daily (100 times morning & evening or more) → Sins erased + protection from troubles + barakah in rizq & children.
  2. Say Alhamdulillah for every small good thing → Blessings increase + calamities stay away.

These are very small words, but their reward is so huge that angels get tired writing good deeds!

If you make these two habits part of your daily life, you won’t need to ask anyone for big acts of worship — these alone can bring forgiveness, barakah, protection, and success in both worlds.

May Allah make us among those who say Astaghfirullah and Alhamdulillah abundantly, erase our sins, increase our blessings, and save us from calamities. Ameen.
